Primary Duties: The worship director of the church will coordinate and direct the choir during their practices and performances. Practices are once per week with choir performances biweekly during the choir season (not meeting during the summer months).
Additional Duties: The worship director will be an active member of the worship committee and coordinate music selections for church services between the pastor, organist, pianist, praise band or choir depending on the needs of the church services. The worship director will also be leading the congregation in hymns during worship services.
Hours: The worship director position will be part time in nature with hours varying from week to week depending on performance, practice schedules or necessary coordination meetings. Hours are anticipated to only be 4-5 hours per week.
Skills: Applicants for the worship director position with experience in music direction, especially choir experience, is preferred. An applicant should have the ability to lead, coordinate others, make decisions on their own without direction and possess good time-management skills.
