Administrative Board

The Administrative Board meets on a monthly basis, usually the first Wednesday of the month.   Any one is welcome to attend the Administrative Board meetings to hear what is going on within the church.  The board usually hears a report from each committee present and then votes on any matters that the committees might bring forth.  We approve the budget each year, approve the leadership as presented by the Nominating Committee and vote on the members added to the Staff Parish Relations Committee, Finance Committee and Trustees.

CARING Ministries

A ministry that cares for those that are unable to attend a regular worship service with us at OUMC. Therefore, those that are shut in at home, in Retirement homes or nursing homes have someone to stop in and pray, visit, or just be a friend. This ministry has meant so much too so many and it is a ministry that anyone can share.

I would like to encourage you to be a part of the caring ministry. Please call the office at 765-583-4441 if you would like to participate in the future.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The OUMC finance committee meets quarterly or on an as needed basis to monitor the financial operations of the church.  It has the responsibility of compiling a complete budget for supporting the mission and vision of the church; as well as, submitting the budget to the church administrative board for review and adoption.   In addition, the finance committee is responsible for developing and carrying out plans to raise enough funds to support the budget that has been approved.

The finance committee recommends policies and procedures for management of church funds to church leadership and then implements an approved process for administrating and disbursement of funds.

The finance committee arranges for an annual audit of financial records and makes a report to the administrative board; as well as, the charge conference.

Missions Committee

Have you been blessed with the Spiritual Gifts of Mercy, Giving, Serving, or Helps?  If so, the Mission team is always looking for new members to share their ideas on how OUMC can reach out to better serve those with needs in our community and beyond.  We meet for one hour once every other month to discuss current and future projects.  This year our programs include six distributions by the Food Finders Mobile Pantry, school supply donation collections, United Methodist Mountain Mission collections, Thanksgiving Food Baskets, Operation Christmas Child Shoebox, Angel Tree Program and Christmas Food Baskets.

Staff Parish Relations Committee

The Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) or Pastor Parish Relations Committee (PPR) is responsible to support and assist the Pastor and staff, and maintain open communication with staff and the congregation.

The SPRC is responsible for the hiring of non-appointed staff, staff reviews, and serves in an advisory role for pastoral changes.  They also recommend to the Finance Committee yearly proposed staff salaries and compensation.

Membership of the SPRC consists of 9 appointed church members including one youth and the lay leader and lay member to Annual Conference.  Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Trustee Committee

The Trustee Committee is a made up of 9 men and women who share the responsibilities of representing the Church in most contractual agreements to maintain and manage Church properties.  Examples of contractual activity would be the lease arrangement for the copier and securing insurance for the Church.

The Trustees work to maintain and manage the Worship Center, the Parsonage at our old worship site and the farm northeast of town.

Trustees meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
